Yesterday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan indicted four individuals in more than 30 indictments for their role in defrauding Amazon’s textbook rental program. The charges include mail fraud, electronic fraud and making false statements. Amazon’s powerful anti-fraud systems discovered this scheme and supported the multi-year investigation.
