Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is undoubtedly one of the most popular online marketplaces in the world. But the company also presents an opportunity for some small business owners – especially online marketers. The platform offers the Amazon Affiliate Program.
Amazon affiliate program
With the advancement of affiliate programs, the Amazon affiliate program cannot be beat in terms of reach and sheer size. According to Business Insider, Amazon’s $356 billion valuation is greater than Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Macy’s, Kohl’s, JCPenney and Sears combined.
Amazon generated $177.9 billion in revenue in 2017, and net income grew 27.8%, making it the largest online retailer in the world.
This kind of scale makes the Amazon affiliate program attractive to small businesses and marketers, and makes Amazon partners and every Amazon affiliate a part of the global marketplace.
Whether it’s a small business looking to take advantage of the Amazon affiliate program or individual Amazon partners, there are many opportunities to generate revenue.
When you become an Amazon affiliate member, you get access to a range of tools including analytics and marketing to ensure that you can maximize your earnings.
The Amazon Local Associates program that was expanded last year has given small businesses and local individuals more ways to increase their revenue.
Amazon partners with websites or other digital presences that can make recommendations for items that Amazon sells. Not only does this offer a new way to interact with customers, but it also creates an opportunity to earn affiliate fees with an eligible purchase.
With over a million products in stock, order fulfillment, delivery, returns and customer service, the Amazon affiliate program can be an attractive way to start a business or enhance your existing company’s capacity. But first you have to become an Amazon affiliate.
